In the year 1482, 10 years before Christopher Columbus discovered
America, Italian (artist) painter Leonardo DaVinci began a painting of
enormous dimensions, 28 feet long, called "The Last Supper". This
painting of the Last Supper of the Lord Jesus with His disciples was
completed in the year 1489, and from then on became famous.
According to
the Gospels, at a certain moment during the Last Supper meal, the Lord
Jesus declared to His disciples, "One of you is going to betray me."
Astonished and confused, one by one they said to Him, "Surely not I,
Lord? Is it I, Lord?"
Peter, always impetuous, motioned for John to ask
Jesus which one of them the Lord was talking about. It is that precise
moment of amazement, confusion, and introspection that DaVinci tried
to capture in his painting. Come and see what happens as the
Last Supper comes alive.
